Um pouco sobre o Trio Nordetino. - A little about the Trio Northeast.

These are the big forrozeiros in Brazil still today.

The Trio was originally formed in early 1957 by Domingos José de Morais, João Batista de Lima Filho Valdivino and Manoel de Souza, known by stage names Dominguinhos, Joe Worm (after Miudinho) and Zito Borborema. At the time, had the help of the King of Baião, Luiz Gonzaga. The name was given by Trio Helena, wife of Gonzagão. This original lineup remained for two years, and since there was no patent on the name of the trio, it was later played by trios Bahia (formed by Lindu, Cobrinha and Corona) and São Paulo (formed by Xavier, Helen and Tom). This was the original Trio, followed then by all variations of the trio This article comments on the current line-up.
Making the circuit of clubs in Salvador, while working for the club clock, met the newly hired Fatso, musician and composer who would open the doors of Rio de Janeiro. With the promise of a record, led them to Fatso Odeon and RCA Records, where he had no opportunity. In another move, this time in Copacabana Records, passed the test run by Nazareno de Brito. Contractors, in ten days would record a full album with 12 songs.

In search of success, the trio decided to try a popular participation in the program work have fun, Radio Mayrink Veiga, led by Raymond Noble. When they arrived at the auditorium of the program, Luiz Gonzaga and are immediately asked to show that the ropes in Rio de Janeiro. Gonzagão refuses to give aid and continues to be tested. Frustrated with the idol, which appeal to Raymond after Fatso's insistence, agreed to submit only one song, "Letter to Maceió" instant hit among the public audience, which applauded fervently for an encore. Since then everything has changed; Raimundo asked Angela Maria, the attraction next to yield to the Trio five of his ten-minute presentation. She who had loved "Letter to Maceio," accepted the request and became the godmother of the Trio, which could have two numbers. This secured a contract with the radio programs to present itself next to the Angela and artists such as Luiz Gonzaga and Nelson Gonçalves.
With the success of the song and "sucking ice," present on the first disc, the trio went on to record an LP for years, releasing several hits. Famous, departed to the northeast along with Gonzaga for 75 days, to make advertising a brand of rum. That is when, dining in Recife, Gonzagão recalled the request for help made by the trio in the auditorium of Radio Mayrink and said: If I have helped, you would have accommodated and today would not have achieved the milestone of exceeding my sales. Since then Gonzagão came to help them and a lifelong friendship was sealed. After 11 works in Copacabana Records, moved to CBS in 1967. In 1969, Lindu suffered a car accident that required more than one year of treatment. Still, the new company decided to continue the work, bringing the accordion by ambulance to the recording studios. In 1970 came the album with the song "Looking for You" by Antonio Barros, who became the most successful of the Trio, leveraging more than 1 million copies sold and still taking them from the hinterland to the radios of different segments in throughout the country. The national success led the trio to remain in first place the program Silvio Santos, on TV, and receive 90 days of CBS Chico Viola trophy for second place in the best-selling recording of 1970. The first was Roberto Carlos.
Deprimido, Coroné quase abandona a zabumba.
The success continued throughout the decade and Luiz Gonzaga and brought back to the main forró radios. Were still responsible for the enrichment of pace, introducing the lining of the root (bass drum, triangle, accordion) a second accordion and drums. In 1982, already back to Copacabana Records, Lindu dies of kidney failure. Determined to continue with the forró in the name of a covenant when they had finished forming the Trio, located in Corona and Cobrinha Genaro substitute for the accordionist. Just across the 80 until the output of Genaro in the early 90's, being replaced by Beto Souza, godson of Lindu. In 1994, the Trio has suffered another casualty. This time, a bowel cancer led Cobrinha and its triangle. Depressed, almost abandons Corona drum. But a dream and remember the covenant made more than 30 years on behalf of forró, kept on the road. The replacement was found in Cobrinha Luis Mario, who was once the rock fan, but who inherited the father's voice and talent, Lindu, and swung over from time to forró.
Shortly thereafter, in 2000, confirming the prophecy of Gonzagão when he was near death, forró has returned to national success, driven by Gilberto Gil and the hits from the soundtrack of the movie You, Me, Them and the emergence of new groups and as Falamansa Forróçacana. This allowed the Trio returned to the charts with their new line, attended by a renewed public and young. Driven by new wave, were four times to Europe, where they crowded concerts in Paris in the famous restaurant Favela Chic, and London, through the Bar Luiz, attended by the Brazilian colony.
